We have done countless hours of research to create a guide that will walk you through every step. We want to help make your wedding planning process seamless and enjoyable without the stress of having to hire a full wedding planner, although, we are happy to help with that too! How We Began
Hi everyone! My name is Caitlyn and I am the founder of Alas along with my amazing husband, Brandon! Shortly after graduating from Texas A&M University where I studied Event and Tourism Management, I jumped right into the wedding industry. I worked for a company that offered services in coordinating, photography, videography, DJ, and photo booths. However, over time coordinating became my absolute favorite. I loved the details of planning and getting to watch the wedding day unfold so beautifully after a lot of hard work.
I eventually got engaged and started to plan my own wedding. I was quite surprised at how difficult planning a wedding was even after being a wedding coordinator. It was at that point I began to see a large gap in the wedding industry. I spent so much time looking for a wedding planning checklist, an online resource, or anything to help me plan my wedding. But, I could not find a single tool that provided me with everything that I was looking for. I wanted a guide that walked me through every step with tips and tricks on how to save money while allowing me to be creative. Yet still, I found nothing.
After countless hours of research and planning on my own, I created a document that included every single detail of the day so I would be sure everything would look and unfold exactly how I had planned it - and it did! Guests and vendors were all raving about how seamless and beautiful the day was, and on top of that I married the love of my life!
From there, I started to transform that document into what would become the Wedding Planning Guide Book to ensure that future couples would enjoy the planning process just as much as their wedding day! I have a deep love for weddings and marriage, so I created this tool and our coordination packages to help you plan yours to be the wedding of your dreams! Let’s get started!
